Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering (IOE) campus in Madhesh Province

The government is moving forward with plans to establish a new Institute of Engineering (IOE) constituent campus under Tribhuvan University in Madhesh Province. Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said the campus will help students from Madhesh study engineering closer to home and reduce the financial burden of going to Kathmandu and other provinces. A study committee will identify a suitable location, with a tentative plan to start classes within the next three years. The campus is also planned as a research and innovation centre, not just a traditional college.
